European Parliament wants arms supply to Armenia and Azerbaijan halted

On April 18, the European Parliament made a series of resolutions concerning negotiations with Armenia and Azerbaijan on a variety of issues, including the Karabakh conflict.
The Parliament also recommend that EU member states do not supply the two countries with arms, in an effort to build and maintain peace in the region. It asked that the leaders of both states refrain from military rhetoric and attempt to establish a dialogue.
The EU also highlighted the importance of human rights protection and reforms in those countries.
