Government promoting infrastructure projects in lead-up to election

On the eve of the elections, the government is actively implementing one billion GEL-worth of infrastructure projects, prompting many in the opposition to criticize them for election-focused spending.
The President, as well as key members of his cabinet and party, are traveling the country promoting the projects. Recently, 500,000 GEL was announced for improving roads, although the fast pace of construction has some worried about the quality of the finished roads
