Azeri -Israeli arms deal with over $1B

At the beginning of this year, the Azeri Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Aerospace Industries corporation (IAI) signed an agreement worth $1.6 billion USD.

The Israeli media is reporting that this deal "rescued" the Israeli military industry, which has been facing serious challenges of late. IAI gains increased in the first quarter of 2012.

The Israel company will supply Azerbaijan with a variety of air defense systems, establish enterprise there and Israeli specialists will train their Azeri counterparts in the products' use.
