Little investment for SMEs

Investors have been slow to support Georgia’s small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) - 90% of all investments coming into Georgia go to large businesses. In the first quarter of 2012, investments were made in 22 large-size businesses, three medium, and seven small.

The government has re-directed policy towards SMEs, but so far data has shown that investors are more interested in bigger projects.
