Survey: young people against marijuana

Rezonansi writes that ACT has conducted a survey to find out what the people think about legalizing marijuana in the country. A segment of the population demands it to be decriminalized; another segment is against its legalization and believes that the opponent’s argument that marijuana is a light drug and should be legalized is groundless.

The question was asked: should marijuana consumption be punished according to the law? The survey revealed that more than half the number of respondents said that it should be punishable and that its decriminalization is unacceptable. It is noteworthy that people between the ages of 18-29 more negatively assess marijuana decriminalization than people of older ages.



Will widow of Patarkatsishvili establish a political party?

Alia writes that Ina Gudavadze, widow of late Georgian billionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili, is going to establish a political party and continue his spouse’s political activities. Ina Gudavadze is not in Georgia currently, but the newspaper contacted the mother of Badri Patarkatsishvili to confirm this information.

“Ina has been my daughter-in law for 36 years and we have good relationship with each other. So, I know about her activities and I cannot confirm the information about her going into politics. She has never thought about it and this is just a rumor,” Natela Patarkatsishvili says.

Patarkatsishvili has also talked about the current political processes in Georgia and positively assessed Bidzina Ivanishvili’s activities in Georgian politics.

“Badri was always talking positively about Bidzina Ivanishvili and he praised him. As for me, I think that my attitude towards him is very positive and I appreciate the kindness he has shown for Georgia and the Georgian people. I am happy to see such people are in the country,” she added.
