According to Geostat, Georgia's national statistics agency, data shows that in the first quarter of 2012 there is a visible decrease in salaries in Georgia. As the statistical service reveals, the decrease is detected in all sectors. For instance, in the fourth quarter of 2011, the average salary in the educational sector was GEL 360, while in the first quarter of 2012 it was down to GEL 328. Analysts believe that this kind of fluctuation is not that dangerous. However, the tendency itself is not pleasant for the employees themselves.
