Anikashvili: Doctors do not get enough reimbursement

Christian Democrat Magda Anikashvili, held a meeting with doctors in Batumi where she discussed the current problems and reforms in Georgia’s healthcare system, Rezonansi reports. According to her, in spite of the fact that authorities carry out various reforms in this field, there are plenty of failures in this direction. Doctors do not get enough reimbursement compared with their job and accordingly, they think that they are not appreciated by the government.

Batumi hospital doctors have highlighted their attention on the low budget of healthcare programs. According to them, from each medical surgery, doctors only receive around GEL 13-15.

Nodar Khaduri: government just now realizes unemployment problem

Rezonansi writes that economist and member of the Georgian Dream coalition, Nodar Khaduri, made a comment on the new Prime Minister’s initiative, according to which over the next four- years, 273, 000 jobs will be created in the country. According to Khaduri, this is a very unrealistic figure, adding that by providing such a statement, government is trying to counter Ivanishvili’s promises to the population.

“This government rules the country at a minimum for 8 years. They have just discovered that there is an unemployment problem in the country and that the environment should be changed in order to attract investment. According to official statistics data since recorded since 2003, unemployment has increased and the number of jobs have decreased rapidly,” Khaduri said.
