Newly appointed Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, promised that in the coming four-years, the Georgian budget will reach GEL 40 billion. It is not specified whether the Georgia budget will reach GEL 40 billion in 2016, or if it is an aggregated projection over the four year period. Today the Georgian budget is over GEL 8 billion.
Since the Rose Revolution Georgian budget has increased, at that time it was just over one billion and in 2012 it is 8.5 billion. However, analysts are very skeptical towards the figures the Prime Minister revealed. Some even suggest that these figures could be achieved in the case of inflation process in Georgia.
