Pollution of Georgian rivers

Analysts and experts on environmental issues state that during the last years, pollution of Georgia’s main rivers in is reaching dangerous scales. The rivers are polluted from different components: waste from chemical metallurgy.oil and oil products and other enterprises. The waste of agricultural fertilizers, as well as the sewage system is also disposed in the country. The major Georgian river–the Mtkvari, which runs from Turkey via Georgia and Azerbaijan into the Caspian Sea, is very polluted. Besides, in these countries there are small rivers joining the Mtkvari running from Armenia which has polluted rivers.
