Number of tourists increase in Adjara

Between January and July 2012, Adjara hosted nearly 900, 000 tourists. This increase is due to stopovers on the way to third party countries mostly. The leading countries are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Iran. However more tourists come to Georgia from Israel, Russia, Poland, Belarus, Moldova, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. There are up to 90 hotels and bed and breakfast type guesthouses in Batumi. The minimal price for foreign tourists start at $25 USD, maximum is $250 and more.
