There is a lot of construction happening in the streets of Tbilisi recently. Some assess this road work as a positive thing. However, others say that there is a lack of professionalism in the current projects which are under way in the capital. According to this opinion, most of the streets and roads in Tbilisi were done by the decision of the current administration, no preliminary assessment or competition had been held. The traffic arranged in one direction creates jams in the other; many complain about the narrow lanes that are fit for only one car. Urban planners criticize the state policy of inviting foreign constructors to offer cheap projects that do not consider all the details. The major fault is unprofessionalism in such companies.
