TANAP Turkish-Azeri geopolitical project

The Turkish and Azeri sides believe that the construction of the TANAP gas pipeline is a very important project of geopolitical significance. The Azeri president thinks that so far neither of the projects targeted at providing Europe with an alternative source of natural gas has been successful. So far, the NABUCCO project has failed to be implemented, but this time Azerbaijan and Turkey believe that the TANAP project will be successful. It is suggested that TANAP as well as NABUCCO is a political project. However, so far TANAP has no support for from Turkmenistan, although Turkey tries to persuade Turkmenistan to participate.
