During its pre-election campaigning, the ruling party introduced a new insurance program for children and retired persons. As statistics show, more than 2,000 insured persons through this program applied to different clinics and hospitals to receive the appropriate medical care. The amount of people applying to the doctors through above mentioned policies is creating a heavy burden for the insurance companies. There are difficulties in serving so many people and insurance companies are facing problems covering the expenses for treatment. Simultaneously, many patients– most of whom are older age– complain about the low level of service, highlighting many discrepancies and shortcomings in the system.
