Heads and deputies of the Parliamentary Committees confirmed

The chairpersons of the parliamentary committees have been made known. Deputy chairs and members of several parliamentary committees have also been confirmed.
Representatives of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia have been approved as the chairpersons of 9 committees out of 15. The rest of the seats are being shared by Our Georgia-Free Democrats, Republicans, Industry will save Georgia and National Forum members.
Committee for Foreign Affairs Tedo Japaridze, GDDG;
Committee for Procedural Issues and Rules Irina Imerlishvili,GDDG;
Committee for Finances and Budgetary Issues Davit Onoprishvili, OGFD;
Committee for Sport and Youth Affairs Leri Khabelov of GDDG;
Committee for Healthcare and Social Issues Dimitri Khundadze, GDDG;
Committee for Diaspora and Caucasus issues - Gubaz Sanikidze of the National Forum
Committee for Defense and Security Irakli Sesiashvili, GDDG;
Committee for Legal Affairs Vakhtang Khmaladze of the Republican Party;
Committee for Regional Policy, Self-Government and Mountainous Regions Irakli Tripolski of GDDG;
Committee for Agriculture Gigla Agulashvili of the Republican Party;
Committee for Human Rights Eke Beselia ,GDDG;
Committee for Education, Science and Culture Ivane Kiguradze , GDDG
Committee for Environment Protection and Natural Resources Zurab Zviadauri, GDDG.
Committee for Sector Economy and Economic Policy Zurab Tkemaladze of Industrialist, instead of initially planned Nodar Khaduri, GDDG, who is slated to become Finance Minister;
Committee for European Integration Victor Dolidze, OGFD;
The first deputy chair of Committee for Defense and Security will be Tamaz Japaridze. The other deputies are: Viktor Japaridze and Davit Darchiashvili (from the UNM). Members of the committee will be: Irakli Gharibashvili, Guguli Maghradze, Lasha Natsvlishvili, Merab Kachakhidze, Gigla Agulashvili, Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Givi Targamadze, Vazha Chitashvili, Kakha Butskhrikidze, Tariel Londaridze.
The first deputy of the Committee for Education, Science and Culture will be Nukri Kantaria. The deputies are: Eliso Chapidze from GDDG and Sergo Ratiani from UNM.
The first deputy of the Committee for Human Rights will be Gedeon Popkhadze. The deputies: Ruslan Poghosian from GDDG and Chiora Taktakishvili from UNM.
The first deputy of the Committee for Finances and Budgetary Issues will be Nodar Ebanoidze. The deputies: Nana Keinishvili from GDDG and Giorgi Vashadze from UNM. Members of the committee will be: Gela Gelashvili, Gela Khvedelidze, Paata Kvizhinadze, Petre Tsiskarishvili, Zurab melikishvili, Davit Chavchanidze, Zurab Chilingarishvili.
The first deputy of the Committee for Procedural Issues and Rules will be Malkhaz Tsereteli. The deputes: Karlo Kopaliani from the majority and Davit Sakvarelidze from minority.
The first deputy of the Committee for Foreign Affairs will be Zviad Kvachantiradze. The deputies: Gia Volski from majority and Akaki Minashvili from minority.
The first deputy of the Committee for Legal Affairs will be Shalva Shavgulidze. The deputies: Tamaz Avdaliani from majority and Pavle Kublashvili from minority.
The committee heads and the representatives have emphasized that they are ready to fulfill their duties.
Those MPs who carried out obvious illegalities during the election period will have to answer for it. It will happen in the legal body which is responsible for such cases and not in the parliament. We are not going to act based on our view, everything should be strengthened with proves. We are not going to forget those illegalities which have been taking place until October 1, Usupashvili said.
Usupashvili also underscored that the Government program is already represented and will be discussed on the committees level on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Thursday, at 12:00 we are planning plenary sitting when the parliament declares trust towards the government, Usupashvili said.
The minority has not yet still decided how they will take part in the confirmation of the new government.
It is important for us to listen to the plans of the new cabinet of ministers, their programs and the minority will discuss in which form we might take part in the discussions, Davit Bakradze, UNM representative said.
