Georgia’s negative trade balance increases

In January-October 2012, Georgia’s trade balance reached $8.5 billion which is an increase of 15% compared with last year. Unfortunately for the country, the negative balance is higher than the positive, which means that Georgia consumes more than it produces. As some analysts suggest, the country’s economic situation in this direction became a liberal economic approach promoted by the former minister of economy Kakha Bendukidze and his liberal economy which abolished the import duty on the products and made it easier to import in the country.
