According to Georgia’s statistical department, in the third quarter of 2012, direct foreign investments came to $195.4 million. Altogether during the first nine months of 2012, Georgia received investments of $684.2 million. This is 11% less than in the same period of last year. The third quarter investments are mainly distributed within the financial sector, energy sector, transport and communications as well as the processing industry.
