Georgia’s cattle breeding industry has been facing problems as winter has approached. Currently, the slaughtering of cattle has brought the price of beef down. However, the price of milk has increased. According to some unofficial statistics, there are 600, 000 cows in Georgia, whereas the entire number of cattle should be more than 1 million. As many Georgian territories have been privatized and sold, cattle breeding is facing problems with grass and grazing territories. Now, as the winter is approaching the farmers have even more problems as the cattle needs food. Urgent assistance from the government is necessary.
