The Georgian tourist department has informed that in the first eleven months of 2012, more than 4 million tourists visited Georgia and the most popular destinations are Tbilisi and Batumi. Almost all analysts observing the situation in the Georgian tourist business highlight the problem of high prices in Georgian hotels. There is a marked deficit of cheap accommodations in the country. Tourist inflow in Georgia increased in 2011 and accordingly increased the revenue from this business. This fact is encouraging for businessmen who want to invest in the Georgian hotel industry.
