Georgian export-import in 2012

According to the information released by the Georgian statistical department, Georgia's export-import numbers slightly increased in 2012 compared to the previous year. Altogether in 2012, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover reached more than 10 billion USD. Georgian export was approximately USD 2.3 billion while import – USD 7.8 billion. The negative trade balance in 2012 reached almost USD 5.5 billion. Analysts have mostly refrained from evaluating the current results suggesting that competent assessment will be possible in several months.
