Transparency International’s index of defense

Research carried out by Transparency International covering the defense sphere revealed that Georgia is located in a high risk group. This information was accumulated over two years and was based on different data to analyses the overall situation in this sector based on the volume of corruption. The research divided 82 countries and 7 groups starting from low corruption risk groups to high corruption risk. Georgia was included in group D of high risks which is 2nd from the bottom E group – with countries with very high corruption risk. Apart from Georgia, group D also includes Russia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Ethiopia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine, Rwanda and Tanzania. The highest index of anti-corruption is in Germany and Australia. Among the leaders with little risk countries are US, GB, Sweden and South Korea.
