The National Bank warns citizens

The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) appealed to the citizens to be careful with allocating their money at the financial institutions that are not registered by the NBG. Liberali reads that thus they would avoid the potential threat (of losing money).

According to NBG, the Georgian media have been advertising the companies which offer low interest rates and inadequately high benefits. NBG informs that those companies may be using the money for high-risk bargains. “In most cases their activities may be like a “financial pyramid,” reads NBG’s statement stressing that no similar organizations are controlled by the National Bank and no relevant sanctions concern them.



Koba Davitahsvili discourages the steps of current government

Leader of People’s Party Koba Davitashvili said the current government is acting like a coward. In an interview with Kviris Palitra, Davitashvili expressed his discontent with the fact that the investigation of the November 7, 2007 and May 26, 2012 developments are not being investigated.

Worried that the judiciary is very slow, Davitahsvili thinks that the justice system does not have the ability to punish the criminals. “Thus we will think of something and let them judge us,” he said referring to people affected during the two confrontations.

Davitahsvili went on claiming that people will not wait until the Georgian Dream and United National Movement reach an agreement.

Davitashvili also said he felt offended when Parliamentary Chairman Davit Usupashvili and his wife Tina Khidasheli compared him with UNM members Sergo Ratiani with whom he has recently had a clash at Maestro TV. “I would just say one thing: if Usupashvili and former Parliamentary Chairman Davit Bakradze were running at the same district, I would still vote for Usupashvili,” Davitahsvili said. He also wondered why the parliamentary majority does not raise the issue of impeaching the president.
