Georgia's statistical department reports that the cattle breeding situation is not progressing at all. The picture shows deterioration, as the number of cattle, sheep, as well as poultry is decreasing. An increase is noted only in the number of pigs. Analysts have tried to reveal the reasons for this, citing a decrease in pasture territories in the country. This decrease in the number of cattle increases meat imports to Georgia. Meat comes from Latin America, India and other countries. However, analysts mention that Georgia can produce more meat and breed more cattle if it utilizes all the resources available in the country.
