Azerbaijani population to reach 11 million in 2050: UN

The Azerbaijani population will reach 11 million in 2050, says the UN Population Projection for 2050, the AzerTac state news agency reported.
During these years, the population in Ukraine will fall from 45.5 million to 33 million; in Georgia from 4.5 million to 3.5 million and in Armenia from 3.2 million to 3 million.
The Belarusian population (9.4 million) will be 7.5 million in 2050. Latvia’s population of two million is forecasted to be reduced by 300,000. The population is also expected to reduce in Lithuania, Estonia and Moldova.
The population of Uzbekistan (29 million) is expected to increase by 6 million. According to forecasts, the Tajik population (8 million) will increase by 2 million. In 2050, the population of Kazakhstan (17 million) will reach 21 million, in Kyrgyzstan (4.8 million). The Chinese population is expected to decrease by 100 million by 2050. (Azernews)
