A group of Georgian businessmen have asked Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili to lobby the governments of neighboring countries to open their markets to Georgian entrepreneurs. The petition states that Turkish businesses are widely represented in Georgia but it is difficult for Georgian businessmen to establish themselves in Turkey. Azeri businesses are also widespread in Georgia but Azerbaijan remains a country which Georgian businesses and products have difficulty in penetrating. This issue was raised by Georgian businessmen during the previous administration, which promised to address the problem but no results followed.
