The Shadeniz consortium adopted a decision to construct yet another gas pipeline to pump gas west for Azerbaijan. Most of the new pipeline will be installed on Azerbaijan territory and only 56 km will be constructed on Georgian territory where the new gas pipeline will connect with the existing main gas pipeline. It is planned to finish the construction by the end of 2017 and it will start functioning from 2018. Georgia will definitely benefit from this new project by receiving its share from the new transit rout.
