The National Statistics Office of Georgia reports that according to preliminary data, Georgia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was per capita $3,519 in 2012. Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Armenia rank above Georgia among post-Soviet countries. Georgia’s GDP per capita has been recently increasing. Some analysts consider GDP per capita data less reliable because there are no exact figures for the population of the country and its overall accuracy. The real situation could be less optimistic than suggested by official organizations.
