For the last eleven years the water level of Armenia's Lake Sevan has increased by almost four meters. It is envisaged that by 2030 the level of the Lake Sevan will increase by a further six meters. However, a problem remains. While Lake Sevan's water level has increased the water quality has not necessarily improved. A special commission established by the Armenian President is involved in regulating all ecological issues concerning Lake Sevan.
