Georgian Armed Forces Day marked with demonstration

A demonstrative training was conducted in Vaziani to mark the Georgian Armed Forces Day on April 30. Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and Minister of Defense, Irakli Alasania, together with the Cabinet of Ministers, congratulated the military on the occasion. The demonstrative field-tactical exercise “Arrow-013” was conducted at the Vaziani military firing-ground. The personnel of the SOF took part in the training with their own combat equipment and Georgian-made military vehicles. The military servicemen performed ambush, search and rescue, shooting and evacuation operations. An Air Squadron was also involved in “Arrow-013”. It carried out air support and air infiltration of SOF units in the operational area. A reactionary Artillery Battery of the 1st Artillery Brigade participated in the demonstrative training too. As part of the exercise, the personnel of the battery targeted an indirect fire to deter the enemy.
