Azeri-Russian economic relations

For the last ten years Azerbaijan has invested more than half a billion dollars into the Russian economy. In 2004-2012, 479 companies were opened in Azerbaijan with Russian investment. In 2012, the trade turnover between the two countries reached 2.3 billion USD. Azerbaijan imported 1.3 billion USD in products and exported products worth almost 1 billion USD to Russia.
