Armenia interested in functioning of North-South corridor

Armenia is very much interested in the successful construction and further functioning of the system of motorways which would run from the Iranian border through the country up to the Georgian border. The overall length of this motorway should be 556 kilometers. The Asian development Bank is ready to allot 500 million USD for implementation of this project; the rest will come from the Armenian government. By carrying out this project the Armenian government hopes to overcome the economic problems in the country.
