The Georgian National Tourism Administration, headed by Giorgi Sigua, visited Ukrainian cities where Georgia is carrying out a big advertising campaign to attract Ukrainian tourists. According to Sigua, up to 1.5 million Ukrainian tourists travel to Turkey. It will be profitable for Georgia to reorient some of these tourists to Georgia. There are many advantages in this regard, as Ukrainians will need no visa to travel to Georgia, they have no language problems, because Georgians and Ukrainians both speak Russian, and direct flights are available between the Ukrainian cities and the Georgian capital.
