Georgian Railways and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, have suspended the construction of the railways bypassing Tbilisi. The relevant organizations are studying what and how activities have been done so far, what are the results or what could the results be like. Roughly, around $213 million has been spent for the project. Thus, the Ministry of Economy is considering substituting the construction of the railways bypassing Tbilisi with the construction of motorway bypasses.
