A series of musical concerts known as the Night Serenades with the International Orchestra Virtuosi of Facebook closed the annual festival at Rustaveli Theatre on September 3rd in the frames of the international project Culture without the Borders.
After a week of successful performances of a variety of musical pieces to the lovers of classical music at the new summer theatre in Batumi on August 24-29, famous Georgian violinist and conductor, Liana Isakadze, who is the art director of the project, created a festive mood for the guests with the talented musicians from Georgia and abroad.
It was Isakadze's idea to establish the international ensemble-orchestra Virtuosi of Facebook in 2011. Since then it has become an essential part of the annual festival- Night Serenades. This time the orchestra performed pieces of music from the compositions of Haydn, Vivaldi, Mozart, and other famous composers for the Georgian audience.
The project was carried out in around 40 countries worldwide under the umbrella of UNESCO. It aims at strengthening peace among people by protecting cultural and art monuments, their preservation and development. Concerts have been held with great success in Paris, Prague, Berlin, Washington, New York and others. Liana Isakadze is a permanent participant of the concert from Georgia.
Night Serenades was presented by the Georgian Chamber of Culture with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection and Batumi City Hall.
The Messenger is pleased to have the honor of being among the media partners of the festival.
