JTI Corporation increases tobacco import to Azerbaijan

Japan Tobacco International Corporation has sharply increased the volume of tobacco products imported to Azerbaijan, Director General of JTI Ukraine, Sergei Lavrikov said, APA-Economics reports.

Over the past year, the amount of products sent to Azerbaijan from Ukraine grew by 30% to 5 billion cigarettes.

He added that JSC products have a 23% share in the entire South Caucasian region. JTI is considered one of the leaders of Azerbaijan’s market.

JTI has started to apply Less Smoke Smell technology in tobacco production. This technology reduces smoke and smell of cigarettes to minimum.

Headquarters of JTI Corporation is located in Geneva. Its products are sold to more than 120 countries. The turnover of the corporation has reached $12 billion over the last year. (News.Az)
