Kazakhstan to receive over 80 million tons of oil this year

Kazakhstan is to receive 82 million tons of oil in 2013, Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbai Karabalin said at a press conference of the Central Communications Service for the President of Kazakhstan on Wednesday. "We expect to receive 82 million tons of oil this year. This is more than last year. The increased production leads to the construction of pipelines and the search for new routes," he said. The minister also said that for the past five years $20 billion was invested in Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector. As much as 79.2 million tons of oil and gas condensate was produced in Kazakhstan in 2012.
