Payments for exploiting natural resources increase

Some time ago Georgian parliament increased payment for exploiting and extorting mineral and still water. Now the parliament is going to increase the price for exploiting manganese. Presumably, the government will increase the payment for exploiting other natural resources as well. MP Zurab Tkemaladze stated that this increase will be such that it will not be a heavy burden for the businessmen, but at the same time it will provide extra revenue to the local municipalities. For thousand of liters of still water the payment increases from 4 to 8 GEL and for mineral water – from 3 to 9 GEL.
