Chinese company starts to build shopping center and hotel in Tbilisi

The Chinese company Hualing, which is building the Olympic Village in Tbilisi, has begun construction on a shopping center and hotel.
To date, the 10-story residential buildings, 8 of which are designed for Olympic athletes, are being built and in total, it is planned to build around 20 buildings in the Olympic Village, the company's Georgian Office said.
According to the company, the construction of a 5-story shopping center will begin soon and in parallel, it is planned to build a hotel with 202 rooms. Investment cost of the first phase is 150 million lari. The construction of the facility will be completed by December 2014.
The area was freed of taxes for 10 years in order to stimulate the business. (Trend)
