From October 2013 Zemo Larsi customs checkpoint between Georgia and Russia has changed its timetable. It started operating from 6 am until 10 pm. Until this date, for almost four months, the checkpoint worked 24 hours a day serving around 6,000 people daily and 800 cars.
Analysts think that the change of the timetable could create queues at the border checkpoint. Russian citizens mostly cross the Georgian border, but there are Armenian citizens as well.
