Trade turnover with Russia increases

In 2012 Russia was on the sixth position among Georgia’s trade partners. Already in the first half of 2013 it held the fifth position. Georgia’s export to Russia has considerably increased. Georgia’s return to the Russian market was a very important step for the country. Georgian agricultural products, wine and mineral products, have already entered the Russian market with success. Now vegetables and fruit form Georgia is returning. Most analysts positively assess these moves, although some ask questions about the costs of Georgia returning to the neighboring market.
