The problems with newly established businesses

According to various research, it is easy to start a business in Georgia. However, data from the statistical department shows that it has become difficult to successfully continue business activity in Georgia. During the last five years more than 222, 000 new businesses have been established in Georgia. However, only 13% or so have managed to stay in business. Most businesses are set up by individual entrepreneurs, and 75% of them are registered in Tbilisi, followed by the Imereti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regions. There is almost no data about businesses which have failed.
