The National bank of Georgia (NBG) has decreased the prognosis indicator for 2013 for the second time. The first the decrease was lowered from 6% to 4% and now to 2.5%. However, the prognosis for 2014 shows the tendency of an increase of up to 5%.
Apart from export, the influence of the Georgian economy, money transfers and foreign direct investment is significant. However, there is alternative prognosis of growth which is 3%. This is the opinion of the NBG.
Economists support the idea of the co-investment foundation, which could positively influence the development of the economy if it takes solid steps and implements new projects. In this case, growth could reach 5%.
