Howard Gospel Choir’s Workshop

At American Corner Tbilisi Youth National Palace
On December 13, the Howard Gospel Choir performed a workshop for Georgian young singers and their teachers at Tbilisi National Youth Palace American Corner, which was organized by U.S. Embassy Cultural Attache James Dewy. Twenty Gospel singers and musicians from Howard University in Washington, D.C. described the roots of Gospel music and spirituals that helps them to express the African – American experience. Georgian young singers from the Palace different musical groups presented their favorite Georgian and American songs, which made the whole audience to clap standing on their feet. This workshop was a good experience for all participants and a good example how become friends with the help of songs.
