Georgia’s foreign trade situation

In January-November 2013, the foreign trade turnover of Georgia reached almost USD 10 billion. This figure does not include those organized as “suitcase businesses.” From this amount, there is a slight increase of export production and decrease of imports, but there is still a negative trade balance of almost USD 4.5 billion.

The biggest trade partner for Georgia is Turkey, followed by Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The biggest import still remains oil and oil products followed by cars. The main item for the country’s export is re-export of cars, followed by ferroalloys, and walnuts. (The Messenger)
