Demographic profile of employees
Wednesday, January 15
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) the largest number of employed people in Georgia are 55 years-old and up. The least employed are the youth aged up to 24 years. 47.4% of those employed are females, 52.6% - males. Most of those employed have secondary education. The greatest portion of those unemployed have a university diploma. This gives ground for concern that either higher education is not up to par, or there is no demand for those with higher education diplomas.
