Azerbaijan increases gas supply to Georgia

In 2013 Azerbaijan supplied approximately 1.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Georgia, which is 36% more than in 2012. In addition, SOCAR Energy Georgia, the daughter company of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic constructed more than 1,000-kilometers of the natural gas network for distributing gas in Georgia.
As a result, the total length of the gas distribution pipes in Georgia is around 4,000 kilometers. The company has almost 350,000 customers. It has also increased the network of petrol stations in Georgia.
