The Chairman of Economy Commission of Armenian Parliament, Vardan Ayvazyan, stated that by entering the Customs Union the country will have a chance to revive its economy. By lifting the customs barriers for trading with member countries, Armenia’s economy will revive.
Another big advantage for Armenia is the Russian market. On the one hand, it will be using Armenian resources to introduce its products to Russia, while, on the other hand, Armenia will be receiving Russian oil, gas, raw diamonds, and other raw materials the country needs.
Ayvazyan also mentioned some difficulties. One of the problems might appear in the custom taxes regulation with Georgia.
