Georgian Dream prepares for pre-election conferences

“I want to build a strong Georgia with you,” Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili addressed the youth on February 20th.
In his video address to his party members and activists, the PM and the leader of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Movement said his party is moving to a new stage.
“Our party, in those two years did almost the impossible, as a result of the great efforts and hard struggle, we came to power through elections and became the leading political force,” Gharibashvili said.
Stressing that his predecessor Bidzina Ivanishvili had united the people of a similar ideology and values during those two years, PM Gharibashvili spoke about his team’s future plans.
The PM called each and every member of the party to actively take part in regional events and contribute to their renovation.
“We are moving to the new stage of the renovation of the party and its structures and your engagement in this affair is of vital importance for the party leadership,” Gharibashvili said, referring to his team members all across the country.
Talking of the success of the country during the past two years, Gharibashvili said that often it takes long years to achieve what the Georgian Dream has managed so far. He said it is “the sign” that his team will become stronger and continue its activities with more energy and thus finally transform into “a modern type of a party – the party, which is trusted by its citizens and which carries out their interests.”
Gharibashvili also addressed those members who have been contributing to the party’s success from the very first days of its creation. He said those who feel that their deeds have not been relevantly appreciated, will not remain without attention. “Fortunately, we have overcome all the hardships together,” he stated.
According to Gharibashvili, the conferences will be held for party members in the regions, and will be led by the Secretary General of the party, Kakha Kaladze, and the Political Secretary, Giorgi Volsky. “Meetings will be regular with our party members, supporters and activists,” stated Gharibashvili.
The Prime Minister said he believes that the Georgian Dream-Democratic Movement will unite thousands of supporters, protect their interests, and contribute to the country’s democratic development.
Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze said they will soon start holding conferences to elect a new member and chair people. He said some regions lacked local offices. “All the people who fought honorably will participate in this process,” Kaladze said, stressing that everyone with the relevant qualifications and education will continue to cooperate and work with the team.
