Armenia will pay less after entering the Customs Union

According economic analyst from Armenia Ashot Tavadian, if Armenia refuses to enter the Customs Union for five consecutive years, it would have paid $1 billion USD more for natural gas. In September 2013, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan announced his country’s decision to join the Euro-Asian Economic Union.
The road map for Aremenia to enter the Customs’ Union was adopted in December 2013. It was made public by the Armenina government on February 3, 2014.
During his visits to Armenia, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed several documents, giving further benefits to Armenia concerning the price of Russian natural gas.
