Three Georgians among the world’s richest people

The Georgians Bidzina Ivanishvili, Davit Iakobashvili and Alexander Japaridze have been nominated among the world’s richest people rating by Forbes. Former Georgian Prime Minister Ivanishvili is still the richest Georgian worth an estimated $5.2 billion.

Ivanishvili holds 270th place on the list of the richest followed by Japaridze with $2.1 billion in the 828th position. Iakobahsvili ($1.2 billion) is ranked as the 1,372nd. Both Japaridze and Iakobashvili are Russian citizens.

It is significant that since Ivanishvili entered the Georgian political arena he lost more than $1 billion.
