The Georgian economy depends much on Russian-Ukrainian developments, as both these countries are important trade partners for Georgia. Georgia sells its products in Russia and in Ukraine; we also import grain from Ukraine. The number of Russian and Ukrainian tourists has increased. As such, many Georgians work in both countries and send their earnings to Georgia to feed their families.
The Russian-Ukrainian conflict has already influenced the world economy– oil and gas prices have gone up. All the negative developments will definitely affect Georgia’s economic situation.
